Zwakala Brewery sought to establish a brewing operation capable of producing premium beers consistently and efficiently. Located in a remote area, the brewery needed to adhere to sustainability principles by conserving water and energy, all while ensuring the advanced brewing technology blended seamlessly with the picturesque environment.
To meet Zwakala Brewery's ambitious goals, we implemented a comprehensive brewing system:
Brewhouse Installation:
Delivered a 1000L two-vessel steam jacketed brewhouse, complemented by a 2000L hot liquor tank and a 2000L glycol bank for optimal temperature control.
Precision and Efficiency:
Integrated features like in-line 100% O2 addition through a Venturi and accurate temperature control to 0.1°C in all fermentation vessels to ensure consistent, high-quality beer production.
Sustainability and Waste Reduction:
Installed green, efficient systems and pumps to reduce water and energy consumption, along with raking arms in fermentation vessels to minimise wastage.
Enhanced Flavour Profiles:
Included dry hopping addition ports for the introduction of varied and complex hop flavours, and comprehensive CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems for easy maintenance.
The comprehensive system provided to Zwakala Brewery included several key features aimed at optimising performance and sustainability. Precision and efficiency in brewing were ensured through in-line 100% O2 addition via a Venturi and accurate temperature control to 0.1°C in all fermentation vessels.
Waste reduction was achieved with raking arms in fermentation vessels, while flavour profiles were enhanced using dry hopping addition ports. The system's sustainability was supported by green, efficient systems and pumps that reduced water and energy consumption.
Finally, ease of use and maintenance were guaranteed through comprehensive CIP systems, VFDs on all pumps and agitators, and a 3-stage heat exchanger.
